About This Program
You’ll learn your new career not just in a classroom, but also in an on-campus lab that’s designed to look like a real work setting. There, you’ll get plenty of hands-on experience with the industry’s most current tools and techniques.
From the day you begin your program, you’ll be immersed in subjects that are at the heart of the work you’ll be doing when you graduate. You’ll be taught skills and topics such as patient rights, emergency procedures, insurance processing, and bookkeeping—all of which can help you be a valuable addition to a medical office team. As part of your program, you’ll also complete a 200-hour externship in a local ambulatory care or hospital facility so that you can practice your new skills and learn more on the job.
